When do baby gerbils open their eyes? By: Makayla
Baby gerbils open their eyes at about 2 weeks old sometimes more. Baby gerbils start developing fur at about 9 days old, and are baby gerbils already have fur, so that means thy are about 12 to 13 days old. When they turn 3 weeks old thy will start to try their mom and dads food but also still nurse. At 4 weeks old they will be fully developed in every way, just be a little bit smaller then their parents until about 9 or 10 weeks old.
How do they make paper. By Caleb & Tommy
Caleb,
How they make paper. First they cut down a tree. Then they take the bark off. Next they grind it into shreds put in water and cook it into a past. Then they put the past in bleach an other stuff. After that they flatten the past and get the water out. they let it dry and then cut it and you have paper.
You can even do the same thing with used paper. Recycling paper saves trees, time and effort. So
next time you have left over paper you should Recycle it.

Why are flowers pretty By Mary and Phoenix
MARY
I think flowers are so pretty because they have to attract the bees and other bugs so they can take the pollen to other plants and trees that need it.

Why do bees make honey? By Neeka Caleb
English: Female Honey Bee Morphology for the article on Bees. It can be identified as a female by both the number of divisions on its antenna and by its sting. (Photo credit: Wikipedia) |
English: The Honey Bees have made a bee hive on the bracket of our window. I clicked this pic during daytime at around 10.30 AM. But when I returned home I was surprised to find that the shape has changed drastically and the hive was flat. (Photo credit: Wikipedia) |
English: a yellow jacket wasp (Photo credit: Wikipedia) |
How long do bees live? Bees live approximately 1 year then they die.
Do bees die when they sting you? Well honey bees do but other bees don't like the hornet, yellow jacket, wasp & other kinds of bees.
Do all bees sting? No only female bees sting.
Why do bees have black and yellow stripes?
In nature, bright colors usually is danger to predators. The bright colors make it so that the animal may be dangerous to eat. Bright colors with dark ones is in stripes on a bee or snake, make the colors seem brighter.
The venom may not save the life of the bee but the animal that comes into a fight with it may learn that it is painful. This could save the lives of other bees.
This is why bees have black and yellow stripes
Why do wasps sting?
Only female wasps and bees can sting, because they have eggs in them. When a girl wasp stings you they lay eggs in you. That's they leave a bump, just if you were wondering. when a wasp stings a human, it is because they think that they are going to their nest. The wasp signals the rest of the colony to attack. Wasps sting because they think they are going to hurt them, and because they are scared of us, because we are so big.
That's why wasps sting.

We know that bees have been producing honey as they bees today for at least 100 million years bees produce honey as food stores for the hive during the long months of winter when flowers aren't blooming and therefore little or no nectar is available to them.European honey bees produce such an abundance of honey, far more than the hive can eat, that humans can harvest the excess. For this reason, European honey bees can be found in beekeeper's hives around the world!
