WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF CLOCKS?
Clocks are one of the first complicated machines created by humans. All clocks have gears, but now they have very different shapes and sizes of gears. Mankind has used alot of things for clocks here is some of them, the sun, water, candles, hour glasses, and sand. Some clocks like the grandfather clock runs on heat and gravity. Gravity pulls the clock hands down and the heat pulls them up. The name of the grandfather clock comes from an old song. The wood they use in the grandfather clock maple or oak, sometimes they use both. For thousands of years devices have been used to measure and keep time. The first very very first clock witch was not a good clock but the first clock ever made was in about 2000 B.C.
